After graduating from the University of Florida with a forestry degree in 1978, John was hired by a forest products company to procure wood for several mills. In 1984, John teamed up with a former colleague to form Mobile Forest Products. After 28 years in the business, the company is a leader in biomass fuel production and transportation in the Gulf Coast Regions of Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.
John oversees the company’s five divisions and over one hundred employees.
John joined the MFP&B team in 2013 as a financial assistant. He works in the areas of payroll, financial analysis spreadsheets, fuel management, and vehicle maintenance. John earned a math degree from Birmingham Southern College in 2013 where he played tennis and earned All Conference honors. He is also a private pilot with a VFR certificate.
Citina joined MFP&B in 1996 as a data entry clerk processing load tickets for the payroll department. Citina’s role has significantly grown over the years. Today, she serves as the Human Resource & Safety Director. Her duties include managing the company’s safety program, drug & alcohol program, fuel inventories, employee relations, employment applications, employee screenings, orientation of new hires, vehicle licensing & registration and various other duties.
Mike started driving a truck for MFP&B in 1985. In 1989, he successfully started the maintenance department. He then moved on to positions as a grinder operator and heavy equipment mechanic. Today, Mike oversees the Mississippi operations within the Transportation Division, managing the trucks and trailers that move forestry by-products out of several mills. Mike is also a designated Powered Industrial Unit certifier and instructor for the company.
Robert grew up around MFP&B and has worked on an off for the company since 2008. In 2011, he earned a B.B.A. from the University of Mississippi. He also earned a B.S. in Forestry from Auburn University in 2013, graduating with many honors, including the Weyerhaeuser Economic Award. He currently manages Transportation, Harvesting, Spraying, and the Grinding & Recycling Division which includes all roll-off trucks and the recycling operations at a local manufacturing facility.
Stan started his career with MFP&B in 1994, spending summers in the maintenance shop and operating a grinder. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Operations Management, Stan managed the transportation of by-products from a sawmill. In 2008, he moved into overseeing the company’s first logging crew. Today, Stan is responsible for the equipment Maintenance Division.
Ken joined the MFP&B team in 2006 to manage the newly-formed Tire Division. He brought with him over 35 years experience in the commercial tire business that he is still building on today. In 2012, Ken helped take MFP&B to a new level in the commercial tire arena, launching Mobile Commercial Tire, a full service commercial tire dealer.
